The San Francisco 49ers put their faith in their kicker Robbie Gould again on Sunday as he went 6 for 6 in field-goal attempts to help his team defeat the Tennessee Titans 25-23 to score their third straight win.
This allowed Gould to earn his second NFC Special Teams Player of the Week award.

Gould, 35, has gone 36 for 38 in field goals made thus far in his first season in San Francisco. It is the second-highest mark in franchise history. Akers made 44 field goals in 2011.
He recorded two game-winners in the past three weeks in the wins over the Bears in week 13 and Tennessee in week 15.
Gould joins David Akers (2011) and Phil Dawson (2013) as the only 49ers to win Special Teams Player of the Week twice in one season.
