Sacramento Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic has been a basketball work horse over the past few years, playing basketball professionally seemingly around the clock. Following the conclusion of his first NBA season, Bogdanovic underwent a knee surgery in April that sidelined him for around over eight weeks. On Sunday, he started for the Serbian national team against Estonia and was pulled after three minutes due to knee pain.

Serbian reporter Nikola Stojkovic emphasized that removing Bogdanovic from the game was more of a precautionary move than a necessity. There hasn’t been any indication that the 26-year-old will miss significant time.

Bogdan was coming off of a solid performance in Serbia’s 70-63 victory over Greece on September 13th, leading the game in scoring with 19 points. His teammate, now also a member of the Sacramento Kings, Nemanja Bjelica, scored nine points with 12 rebounds and five assists.

The Kings are set to begin training camp in the coming weeks, and will play their first preseason game against the Phoenix Suns on October 1st.
