The draft’s first big trade came just three picks into the draft. Atlanta will send the No. 3 pick to Dallas in exchange for the No. 5 pick and future Round 1 selection according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

This trade is contingent on Trae Young’s availability at the No. 5 pick. The Hawks selected Doncic with the No. 3 pick. If Young is there at five, Dallas will select Young and send him and a future first-round pick to the Hawks, with Doncic heading to the Mavericks.

UPDATE:

Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports is reporting that the pick Dallas is sending to Atlanta will be a 2019, top-five protected selection.
