Yuck.

Everyone knows my affinity for Demarcus Cousins, especially off the floor. When I learned that the Lakers were heavy favorites to sign him, it was like if one of my buddies wanted to take my mom out on a date. Now that he’s signed with the Warriors, its like my buddy chose my sister instead.

Better than the other choice, but still GROSS.

I get the logic. Coming off a devastating Achilles injury, the market was a bit dry (plus the market was pretty dry anyway). He comes back to his beloved Northern California, can recover on his own timetable, and will almost certainly win a ring next year. After that, he’ll likely exit Golden State, and (as long as he’s healthy), get a max deal with a team of his choosing.

But still: Gross.

Demarcus Cousins is a Warrior.
