Report: A’s Designate Trayce Thompson For Assignment

The Oakland Athletics are designating outfielder Trayce Thompson for assignment, among other changes.
NBC Sports reports that the team has recalled starter Trevor Cahill and reliever Lou Trevino as well.
Additionally, the A’s have reportedly moved Yusmeiro Petit to the family medical emergency list.
Thompson, 27, was with the Athletics for a short-lived 12 days.
