Director Jordan Peele is fresh off an Oscar win, but is getting accolades for Michigan’s freshman guard’s buzzer beater instead.
According to Bleacher Report, Jordan Poole scored a buzzer beater to send the No. 3 Wolverines to the Sweet 16 on Saturday, winning over the No. 6 Houston Cougars.
After that, many Twitter users were mistaking Poole and Peele with reaction tweets. Peele, who directed Get Out, took to Twitter himself to comment on the confusion.
I wanna thank everyone for the congratulatory messages. When you practice your jump shot as much as I have, you just hope one day it’ll pay off. 🏀

The real Jordan Poole then replied, complimenting Peele and his work.
