This play is absolutely amazing.
Matt Chapman, future Gold Glove third baseman of the Oakland Athletics, makes this look so easy but it isn’t. Left-handed batter Yangervis Solarte is up, so the A’s have a shift that places Chapman at a shallow shortstop position. The ball is hit towards third base. Chapman moves to his right and grabs the ball across his body while fading back and turns around and throws a bullet about 120 feet to get Solarte by three steps. It’s just amazing. Watch it at least five times and be amazed every time.
