Ben Bender of Ohio is celebrating a feat that took him 93 years to accomplish: a hole in one.
According to Golf Digest, the 93-year-old said “the Lord knew” this was his last round of golf and granted him the hole in one.
Bender, who began golfing at the age of 28, stopped the game a few holes later due to hip pain.
“I was lucky to play golf this long, but I never expected (a hole-in-one). It was the last time I was able to play, and I think God had a hand in this. I loved the game and hate to give it up, but I can’t play forever.”
