NFL’s Roger Goodell Releases National Anthem Statement

The NFL has announced a new statement regarding the national anthem.
Their website has a policy statement available for fans to see, stating that actions taken around this debate have “sparked awareness and action around issues of social justice that must be addressed.”
The statement gives players the option to be on or off the field during the national anthem, but says that personnel on the field who refuse to stand during the anthem will be fined.
