Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper is playing it safe by resting his ankle injury and is expected not to play on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
ESPN‘s Dan Graziano tweeted the news Friday morning.
Source said Raiders WR Amari Cooper (ankle) is expected to miss Sunday's game in Kansas City. Tough break, as Cooper had 11 catches for 210 yards and two touchdowns in this year's first Raiders-Chiefs game. https://t.co/3rMPwtrnzo

Cooper sustained the injury from a hit by Broncos safety Darian Stewart during their 21-14 win on November 26.
He has cleared the concussion protocol, but a left ankle injury has continued to bother him. Although it was originally reported as “hopeful,” Cooper’s condition is now “doubtful.”
The Chiefs will be without cornerback Marcus Peters, which levels the playing field as both teams hold a 6-6 record in the AFC West. The Los Angeles Chargers are also tied for first with the same record.
