The San Francisco 49ers are bolstering their defensive line with their acquisition of defensive end Cassius Marsh, who they claimed off of waivers.

Field Yates of ESPN tweeted the news Wednesday afternoon.

Marsh, 25, was drafted in the 4th round by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2014 NFL Draft. After playing for three years with the team, Marsh was traded to the New England Patriots on September 2.

He was released by the Patriots on November 21 and picked up by the 49ers the following day.

He’s recorded a total of 74 tackles, four sacks and two forced fumbles.
