The San Francisco 49ers have waived defensive lineman Datone Jones. The 49ers could have potentially freed a spot in their roaster for Tank Carradine, since he is now able to return to the active roster.
Earlier in the season, Carradine went on injured reserve with an ankle sprain.
According The Sacramento Bee, Jones was previously a first-round pick for the Green Bay Packers, then was signed by the 49ers on October 24, 2017.
While playing for the 49ers, Jones had recorded six tackles within three games.
All that is known at the moment is that, after sitting out with injuries, Solomon Thomas and Aaron Lynch, two other defensive lineman are expected to turn to the lineup.
