On a typical Saturday night for baseball, Sean Manaea was anything but typical.
The Boston Red Sox were at the top of pretty much every power ranking you could look at, but they didn’t count on Manaea. In fact, I would imagine most Red Sox fans, along with most of the east coast (and perhaps everyone outside of Northern California), didn’t count on it either.
Not only did he beat the hottest team in baseball, he beat Chris Sale, and only needed 108 pitches to do it. This entire young season, Manaea has been dominant. The only AL pitchers with a better ERA than Manaea’s 1.23 all wear Astros uniforms (Morton, Cole, and Verlander….so weird).
A NO HITTER!!!!!
Sean Manaea's no hitter against the Red Sox is even better with Titanic music!!! History for Manaea and the @Athletics!!!

The Red Sox were 17-2, and had won 8 straight. Then they ran into a buzzsaw. The A’s have now won 7 of 10, and are 4.5 games out of the AL West lead. Yes its early, but who cares.
These kids are fun to watch.
