These Are The States With The Most Winter Games Athletes Competing

Team USA has 242 athletes competing in the Winter Games this time around.

CNBC did the research to find where the most competitors hail from.

Colorado has the most participants, coming in at 31. California was a close second with 22 athletes. Together, the top five states make up more than 40 percent of Team USA.

Here are the 5 states with the most athletes competing:

5. Utah – 16

4. New York – 18

3. Minnesota – 19

2. California – 22

1. Colorado – 31
