Down the Stretch They Come; The Grant Napear Show with Doug Christie – 3/6

Hour 1

The college hall of famer, former head coach and current analyst Mike Montgomery jumped on the show with Doug and Grant and spoke about the West Coast Conference championship, how much better Gonzaga is then all of the other teams in the division and if they should maybe look at switching to the Mountain West Conference as rumored. Plus Coach Montgomery explains what it takes to win a championship in college basketball as well as his thoughts on DeAndre Ayton.

Hour 2

San Jose Sharks left winger Logan Couture joined the fellas to talk some Sharks hockey. Hear him speak about how much of a warrior Joe Thorton is as he relived Joe’s incredible comeback in last year’s playoff 3 days after having surgery. Logan also talks about how tight the Western Conference race is in the NHL, how good the Las Vegas Golden Knights are and why he is feeling pretty good heading into the last few weeks of the season. Plus Doug and Grant talk a little NBA as they break down the worst teams in the league.

Hour 3

In hour three the fellas talk some NBA, on why it shouldn’t be accepted, give some updates on the injured Sacramento Kings and speak to Kurt Helin from Pro Basketball Talk in the beginning our the hour. Listen as Kurt breaks down tons of news and notes around the NBA including the latest on Markelle Fultz, how the Pelicans will most likely try and deal with Anthony Davis’s contract in the future, why both of the conferences are tight but really a 2 team race and the evolution of bad jump shots.

Hour 4

Kings big man Willie Cauley-Stein appeared for his weekly appearance on the show in hour four. Right before Willie came on the Kings announced that Willie would not play tomorrow due to his occurring back injury but he did announce that he feels a lot better heading into the middle of the week. Willie also talks about how the game is becoming understandable much more better, which he feels is happening to Skal Labissiere as well. Plus he breaks down his Kentucky Wildcats heading into the college basketball tournament.
