The Sacramento Kings are off to their best start since the 2014-2015 season, winning five of their first eight games despite having the 5th most difficult schedule. Dave Joerger, Sacramento’s head coach who has worked his way through the minor leagues and assistant gigs to get a top-job, is starting to get a lot of recognition for how his young squad is performing.
During ESPN’s national broadcast of the Indiana Pacers vs New York Knicks game, broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy, who was one of many with significantly low expectations for the Kings this season, spoke up in support of Joerger, praising him for how Sacramento has been able to seemingly turn things around so quickly.

The Kings have won four straight and look for five tonight as they battle the only team in the NBA the plays at a faster pace than themselves; the Atlanta Hawks.
