Trade Deadline

The 2019 Trade Deadline is quickly approaching.

At 1:00pm PST on July 31 the trade deadline will pass, meaning teams may no longer trade players after the clock strikes one o’clock on Wednesday afternoon. Oakland didn’t wait around to start making moves, acquiring left-handed reliever Jake Diekman from the Kansas City Royals over the weekend.

Diekman is 14-21 with a 3.87 ERA over eight seasons in the big leagues.
