The 27 year-old slugger is enjoying a breakout year in AAA Las Vegas
The Oakland Athletics placed outfielder Stephen Piscotty on the 10-day IL on Sunday with a high ankle sprain. To replace the injured outfielder, the A’s called up slugging outfielder Seth Brown from AAA Las Vegas.
Brown has destroyed AAA pitching this year, hitting a career-high .297 with 37 home runs (2nd in the PCL) and 104 RBI (1st in the PCL). The former 19th round pick will make his Major League debut on Monday night after spending the last four-plus seasons in the Minors. Brown can play the outfield and occasionally spell first-baseman Matt Olson, as he played a lot of first base with the Aviators.
