Earlier today on The Drive with Carmichael Dave and Jason Ross, San Francisco 49ers radio play-by-pay announcer Greg Papa appeared for his weekly guest appearance during the football season and had some high praise remarks regarding Jimmy Garoppolo as speculation has begun to rise about the abilities and quality of the 49ers franchise QB coming off of his season ending knee injury of last year.

Through 8 career starts with the 49ers, Garoppolo sports a 6-2 record throwing for 2278 yards on 64% completion, with 12 TDs, & 8 INTs.

Garoppolo signed a deal in the 2018 offseason that gave him the largest annual salary in NFL history. Entering his second season of the 5-year deal, Jimmy has plenty of time to prove the doubters wrong, and Papa correct.

Greg Papa was the radio play-by-play announcer for the Oakland Raiders for 10 seasons (1997-2017) and will start his new adventure with the San Francsico 49ers in that same role beginning this season.
