Sacramento is 2-9 over its last 11 contests against Charlotte dating back to 2015-16

While the Sacramento Kings enjoyed the return of De’Aaron Fox, the rest of Tuesday’s game against Charlotte didn’t have any other positives for the boys in purple and black.

The Charlotte Hornets outscored the Kings 30-20 in the fourth period to defeat Sacramento by a final of 110-102 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte.

Charlotte out rebounded Sacramento 51-33 en route to their 13th win of the season.

Sacramento kept the game close until the fourth quarter, where Malik Monk and Devontae’ Graham pushed the Hornets lead into double-digits, sealing the game for good. Monk would finish with 23 points off of the bench, while Graham finished with 15 points and seven assists.

De’Aaron Fox made his return and was the most impactful player for Sacramento, finishing with 19 points and eight assists over 30 minutes. Fox was cleared for action before Tuesday’s game and made his first appearance since November 8th in Atlanta.

Buddy Hield had a quiet night for Sacramento, finishing with 14 points on five-of-13 over 29 minutes. Harrison Barnes finished with 14 points and four rebounds, while Marvin Bagley III finished with 14 points and seven rebounds.

The Kings will look to bounce back on Friday when they head to Indiana to face the Pacers.
