The Sacramento Kings are now in the midst of their worst losing streak this season, dropping their sixth straight game on Saturday night to the Phoenix Suns, 112-110.

Despite the final score, Walton was please with his shorthanded team’s effort and hustle, “It’s tough to come out with another loss but it’s good to see our guys fighting and scrapping like that. When you do that you’re going to start winning games,”.

Buddy Hield, who has been shooting his way through a serious offensive slump recently, finished with a team-high 23 points and shot 47% from the field. Bogdan Bogdanovic added 22 point off the bench, and Harrison Barnes turned in 21 points and 10 rebounds.

Barnes had a great look at a game winner late, a wing three-pointer off an excellent kick-out pass from Hield, but didn’t hit the shot.

Phoenix’s Devin Booker led the Suns to the victory with his 32-point, 10 assist performance. Ricky Rubio added 21 points and Kelly Oubre Jr. scored 20.

“Booker made some tough shots tonight,” said Hield, “We did miss some defensive plays late but it is what it is. Good players are going to make tough shots,”.

Hield also said that he has been focusing on trying to lock in and find himself. Told reporters that he is always trying to make the right play or pass that helps the team.

The Kings will hop on a plane tonight and fly to Denver for their third meeting with the Nuggets Sunday night. Denver defeated Memphis Saturday 119-110.
