Fox returns, but Kings fall to 12-21 on season
The streak continues.
De’Aaron Fox returned from a one-game absence, but it wasn’t enough as the Kings fell to the Denver Nuggets by a final of 120-115 at Pepsi Center on Sunday night, Sacramento’s seventh consecutive loss.
Fox, who missed Saturday night’s game against Phoenix with back spasms, had a strong showing with 18 points and 13 assists over 32 minutes.
Nemanja Bjelica was the leading scorer for the Kings, pouring in 27 points on 10-of-13 from the field on five-of-seven three-point field goals.
Richaun Holmes continued to carry Sacramento in the post, as he finished with 18 points, six rebounds and two assists. Holmes has been the silver lining for the Kings during a horrendous losing streak, nearly averaging a double-double while shooting over 60-percent during the seven-game slide.
Harry Giles III made his first appearance since November 27th, finishing with 11 points and three rebounds over 17 minutes of action.
Buddy Hield finished with a career-high eight assists while chipping in with 20 points in the loss.
Coming Up
Things won’t get any easier for Sacramento, as they will return home to face Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers on Tuesday night at Golden 1 Center.
