The Kings are now a season-worst 14 games under .500

For the Sacramento Kings, it’s pretty safe to say that things have hit rock bottom.

After taking a one-point lead into the second quarter, Sacramento was outscored by 23 points over the remaining three quarters as the Detroit Pistons closed out a 127-106 win on Wednesday night at Little Caesars Arena.

With the loss, the Kings extend their losing streak to a season-high six games.

De’Aaron Fox paced the Sacramento offense with 22 points, while Bogdan Bogdanovic added 19 points off of the bench. Dewayne Dedmon had his first double-double as a King with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Nemanja Bjelica scored 14 points to go along with nine rebounds and five assists in the losing effort.

Detroit was short handed on Wednesday night, playing without the services of All-Star forward Blake Griffin and All-Star center Andre Drummond. Former MVP Derrick Rose picked up the slack, finishing with 22 points, six rebounds and 11 assists to lead the Pistons to victory.

Sacramento has been playing their worst basketball in over two years, and are sliding deeper and deeper into the bottom of the Western Conference standings.

Coming Up

The Kings will look to avoid their seventh straight loss on Friday night when they head to Chicago to face the Bulls.
