The Sacramento Kings have moved on from their top free agency signing this past summer, Dewayne Dedmon, after he publicly requested a trade due to minimal playing time.

Dedmon, who was a starter for the Kings early in the season but quickly lost his spot to Richaun Holmes, is averaging five points and five rebounds a game while shooting a woeful 19% from the three-point line. Included in the deal are two of the Kings’ many acquired second-round picks.

In return, Sacramento received seven-foot center Alex Len, who’s contract expires at the end of the season, and 24-year-old, former second overall pick Jabari Parker. Parker’s lingering injury issues have held him back from what was expected to be a very successful NBA career.

Parker has a $6.5 million player option for next season, giving him the freedom to either return to the Sacramento Kings next season or test free agency this summer.
