Tom Brady Era Over In New England

After 20 seasons, 6 Super Bowl victories, and a long list of career achievements, all with the New England Patriots, Tom Brady announced via his own Instagram this morning that he would not be returning to the New England Patriots for his 21st NFL campaign.

Brees(y) Back In The Big Easy

Brady will look to do something that newly re-signed New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees found success in earlier in his career, find a new team that you are the missing piece to. 14 seasons later and here Drew Brees is, still reaping the benefits from his decision to leave a situation where he felt he was being forced out of. Just a few hours after Brady announced he would be leaving the place he has called home so long, Ian Rapoport of NFL reported that Brees had accepted a two-year, $50M contract to remain in New Orleans.

Cam Done In Carolina

It appears that former NFL MVP Cam Newton has played his last game for the Carolina Panthers as the team announced today that Cam and his agent could seek out a suitable trade partner.

To which Cam Newton replied via Instagram (in his god awful text that he insists on using)…

Teddy Two Gloves To Carolina

With the news of a potential Cam Newton exit, enter one Theodore (Teddy Two Gloves) Bridgewater. After getting 5 starts last season for an injured Drew Brees and leading the Saints to a perfect 5-0 record during that stretch, Bridgewater had finally proven to all the doubters that he would successfully come back from his traumatic knee injury back in 2016. Today, Bridgewater was met with the realization of that come back with a 3-year, $60M contract to replace Cam Newton in Carolina and join new Panthers head coach Joe Judge in their mission to bring the team back to the place they were at just 4 seasons ago.

Rivers Cashes Out In Indy

After trading a first-round pick, and then subsequently PAYING De’Forrest Buckner, the Indianappolis Colts appeared to be a team that could be looking to make a serious run at a championship next season. Today, they went all-in. The Colts paid the longtime Chargers QB Phillip Rivers, who spent 16 seasons with the Charger franchise (SD & LA), a 1-year, $25M contract to play this season in Indy.

Raiders Go Shopping

The Las Vegas Raiders have made their first moves since officially calling Sin City their new home, making some notable signings of some players who have shown capabilities for production in their pasts.
