The Sacramento Republic FC’s season may be on hold like the rest of the USL Championship, but that’s not stopping the club from being proactive and making an impact in the community. During this COVID-19 pandemic, the Republic announced their “Indomitable Hands” program, which provides free meals for vulnerable, home-bound seniors.
In the first 72 hours of the program, Sacramento fans have nearly matched the club’s initial contribution, donating $10,000 for it’s continuation. Each delivery contains meals for up to five days.
Tuesday, the Republic announced the next faze of the program, unveiling the new “Indomitable City” scarf, available now for pre-order at the club’s team store. 100% of the proceeds raised from sales will go to Raley’s Food For Families, continuing the distribution of essential food bags.
“The indomitable spirit of this community never ceases to amaze me,” said Republic FC President and Chief Operating Officer Ben Gumpert. “During this challenging time, we want to work together to support some of the most vulnerable loved ones, friends, and neighbors among us. We are thankful to have a fanbase who always steps up to support those in need and that is on display now as much as ever.”
The club also announced that, through April, an additional 15% of all proceeds from the rest of the online team store will be donated.
Purchase the limited-run “Indomitable City” scarf today at the Sacramento Republic FC team store and help provide meals to those in need.
