Fox Sports is adding another block to their sim racing broadcasting schedule, with the additional coverage of the Formula E Race at Home Challenge.

According to ESports Insider, the series will stretch nine weeks, and feature teams and drivers from the ABB FIA Formula E Championship, in addition to a selection of sim racers. Beginning on April 25, The Formula E Race at Home Challenge will be held on the rFactor 2 simulation platform. This simulation includes the current generation of Formula E car, along with several virtual iterations of the tracks from the Formula E calendar.

With the Formula E Race, the event will mark the third sim racing series to be broadcast on Fox Sports. The other events have included eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series and World of Outlaws, as FOX expands its coverage of virtual motorsports as a result of COVID-19.

In order to compete, racers will reportedly be able to qualify for the championship by setting a qualifying time prior to the race weekend. Then, the top 18 drivers will qualify for a race running parallel with the Formula E race, with the winner advancing onto the starting grid against the real-world drivers.

During this event, all donations from the competition will go towards helping UNICEF in assisting children around the world and keeping them safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
