Former Alabama Crimson Tide head coach and two-time SEC Coach of the Year Bill Curry joined The Doug Christie Show with Jason Ross this week to talk about his coaching career and more.
Curry, 77, played in the NFL from 1965-1974 for the Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Colts, Houston Oilers and Los Angeles Rams as a Center.
After his playing career, Curry went on to become an assistant coach for Georgia Tech in 1976 before heading back to Green Bay to join their coaching staff from 1977-1979. Curry got his first shot as a head coach with Georgia Tech, coaching the Yellow Jackets to a 31-43 record from 1980-1986.

The Yellow Jackets won the 1985 All-American Bowl, defeating the Michigan State Spartans with an exciting fourth-quarter comeback to win 17-14.
In 1987, Curry became the head coach of the storied Alabama Crimson Tide. Over three seasons with Alabama, Curry coached the Tide to a 26-10 record, winning the 1988 Sun Bowl.
Curry garnered SEC Coach of the Year honors in 1987 and 1989.
