Sacramento Kings Shutdown Practice Facility Due To COVID-19 Test Results

The team will not reopen the facility prior to their departure for Orlando on Wednesday
While the NBA season is only a few weeks away from its restart, the league has had several teams shutdown their facilities due to the results of coronavirus (COVID-19) testing.
The Sacramento Kings are the most recent team to shutdown their practice facility, per Sam Amick of The Athletic.
On June 25th, reports surfaced that three Sacramento Kings players–Buddy Hield, Alex Len and Jabari Parker–tested positive for COVID-19 in the leagues’s first wave of testing.
With at least one more positive test being confirmed in the latest round of tests, Sacramento will not reopen the practice facility prior to their departure for the Orlando, Florida bubble site on Wednesday.
Per NBA testing protocol, any person that tests positive for COVID-19 must be administered a second test to ensure the positive test is legit. Of course, once a player or team personnel member has tested positive, they will be in self-isolation until they test negaitve.
Once the player tests negative, another test must be given 24-48 hours after the most recent negative test. If that test comes back negative again, the person will be allowed to re-enter the Orlando campus. If the test is positive, they will remain in isolation.
Sacramento is the seventh franchise to close their facilities due to coronavirus tests, joining Milwaukee, Miami, the Los Angeles Clippers, Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets.
The NBA season is scheduled to begin on July 30th, with ‘pre-season’ games beginning on July 22nd.
