Ranadivé joined the show on Election Day to discuss a variety of interesting and important topics
Tuesday morning on The Carmichael Dave Show with JayMarzz, Sacramento Kings majority owner Vivek Ranadivé joined the show to share some thoughts on Election Day, the NBA offseason and stories from his tenure as owner of the franchise.
During the interview, Ranadivé talked about the process of buying the Kings, what it was like inside of the NBA Board of Governors meeting that saved the team, the 2019-20 season and much more.
As of Tuesday, the NBA and NBA Players Association are still in negotiations regarding the start of the 2020-21 season.
The NBA is adamant on beginning the season on December 22nd to ensure that the league doesn’t lose out on hundreds of millions of dollars of revenue. It has been reported that a large number of players are more open to a start date of January 18th, Martin Luther Kings Jr. Day.
As the calendar turns to November, time is running out for cementing the December 22nd date, with the new deadline for an agreement being placed on this Friday, November 6th.
During the interview, Ranadivé told the guys that he expects NBA basketball to return by Christmas day: “Just keep your Christmas night open, because there’s going to be NBA games Christmas night… that’s, you know, my personal opinion.”
