According to NBA insider Sam Amick, the trade between Sacramento and Milwaukee is unlikely to go through
Monday night’s reportedly agreed upon deal to send Sacramento Kings guard Bogdan Bogdanovic to the Milwaukee Bucks is reportedly in limbo, per Sam Amick of The Athletic.
According to Amick, the 28-year-old Bogdanovic has not reached any agreement with the Bucks, throwing a wrench into the planned sign-and-trade deal that would bring guard Donte DiVencenzo, forward D.J. Wilson and forward Ersan Illyasova to Sacramento.
Amick joined The Carmichael Dave Show with JayMarzz on Thursday morning to share updates on the developing story:
While Sacramento and Milwaukee appeared to have an agreement on a deal, the most important piece of the puzzle—Bogdanovic—clearly has other plans for his offseason.
Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported on Wednesday night that Bogdanovic will enter free-agency on Friday and seek other scenarios, thickening the plot of the ongoing saga that has transpired over the last three days.
Sacramento selected guards Tyrese Haliburton with the 12th pick and Jahmi’us Ramsey with the 43rd pick on Wednesday, adding fuel to the speculation that Bogdanovic will not be back in a Kings uniform next season.
Answers could come as soon as Friday night once Bogdanovic is free to negotiate with other teams, lifting the risk of tampering fines for other franchises.
