According to reports, the Sacramento Kings have added Glenn Robinson III to the fold for next season
The Sacramento Kings have reportedly reached an agreement with forward Glenn Robinson III on a one-year deal, per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
According to multiple reports, the deal will be for the league-minimum.
Robinson, 26, had his best season as a professional last year in stints with the Golden State Warriors and Philadelphia 76ers.
The 6’6 wing averaged 11.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.9 steals last season while shooting 48-percent from the field and 39-percent from beyond the three-point line.
With the departure of Bogdan Bogdanovic lingering over the rotation, Robinson is a great replacement that will be able to fill in behind Harrison Barnes at the small-forward spot.
It was reported that Robinson was going over offers from the Kings, Los Angeles Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers.
After the reported deal between Nicolas Batum and the Los Angeles Clippers made headlines, the decision narrowed to Sacramento or the defending champion Lakers.
By picking the Kings, Robinson now will be in a spot where he will see major rotation minutes–opposed to the Lakers, where he would have had to compete with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Markieff Morris, Kyle Kuzma and Alfonzo McKinnie for minutes.
The addition of Robinson bolsters the Kings rotation for 2020-21, which now appears as follows:
PG: De’Aaron Fox, Cory Joseph, Kyle Guy
SG: Buddy Hield, Tyrese Haliburton, DaQuan Jeffries, Jahmi’us Ramsey
SF: Harrison Barnes, Glenn Robinson III, Robert Woodard
PF: Nemanja Bjelica, Marvin Bagley III, Jabari Parker
C: Richaun Holmes, Hassan Whiteside, Frank Kaminsky
