Memphis has had their next three contests against Portland and Sacramento postponed due to COVID-19 contract tracing
The Sacramento Kings upcoming back-to-back set of games against the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday and Monday have been postponed, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Memphis is currently undergoing contract tracing for exposure to the COVID-19 virus, meaning that the next three contests for the Grizzlies will need to be rescheduled for the second-half of the season.
Per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the NBA is being cautious with their approach to the Memphis situation in light of the recent COVID-19 related postponements that have taken place around the league.
The way that things have gone around the league so far this season, it was only a matter of time before Sacramento was affected by the schedule changes.
With Sunday and Monday’s games being postponed, the Kings will face the New York Knicks on Friday night before taking a five-day break, by far their longest time between games this season.
After the completion of Friday night’s contest, the next game on Sacramento’s schedule will be next Wednesday the 27th against the Orlando Magic.
