Reports: Tiger Woods Currently Being Treated At Hospital For Injuries Sustained In Car Crash

Woods is awake and responsive after undergoing surgery to repair a compound fracture in his leg
Golf legend Tiger Woods was involved in a single-car crash on Tuesday morning and is currently being treated at a Los Angeles County hospital for his injuries, according to the L.A. County Sheriffs Department.
Per the release, Woods, 45, was removed from the vehicle and transferred to a local hospital for emergency surgery on his injured legs.
Woods’ agent Mark Steinberg released a statement shortly after the news broke, stating that the 15-time Majors winner is in surgery to treat multiple leg injuries:
Tiger Woods was in a single-car accident this morning in California where he suffered multiple leg injuries. He is currently in surgery and we thank you for your privacy and support.

According to multiple reports, Woods underwent several hours of emergency surgery to repair “significant orthopaedic injuries” to his lower right leg and ankle.
A statement from the golfer’s representatives that was released on Woods’ Twitter account on Tuesday evening said that the 45-year-old is awake and responsive after undergoing surgery to repair his tibia, fibula and also his lower foot/ankle area with rods, pins and screws.
