In addition to signing Jones & Metu, Sacramento has waived Chris Silva

The Sacramento Kings have signed center Damian Jones to a new contract that will run through the 2021-22 season, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Jones, who had just recently finished his second 10-day deal with the Kings, has averaged 3.8 points and 3.7 rebounds per game over six appearances with Sacramento.

The team announced the signing on Wednesday morning.

In addition to Jones’ deal, the Kings also announced the signing of forward Chimezie Metu to a mutli-year deal.

Per Jason Anderson of the Sacramento Bee, the deal is reportedly for three years.

Metu has been a solid presence off of the bench in recent weeks, averaging career-highs in points (5.1) and rebounds (2.5) per game while shooting 55-percent from the field and 30-percent from three-point range over 10.1 minutes per contest.

Over his last five games, Metu has tallied 9.6 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.0 steals per game on 54-percent shooting from the field while appearing in 15.8 minutes per game.

According to James Ham of NBC Sports, the contract is a new contract and is not a conversion of Metu’s two-way deal that he was originally signed to before the season.

Due to Sacramento adding another guaranteed contract to the roster, the team announced the waiving of forward Chris Silva, who was acquired in the mid-season deal that included Nemanja Bjelica being sent to the Miami Heat.
