Hopefully, you have all seen the cinematic treasure “Dumb and Dumber” in which Lloyd Christmas played by Jim Carrey delivers this gem:

With just a few games remaining the Sacramento Kings do have a chance at cracking the top 10 and making the play-in game. The two costly 9 game losing streaks may ultimately be what holds the Kings back from the opportunity but a four-game road trip sweep and wins in 7 of their last 10 games has kept their slim hopes alive.

The Kings success paired with the San Antonio Spurs recent struggles has left a door open that quite frankly appeared shut on the Kings for a while now.

Here is what you need to know for the final 11 games of the NBA’s regular season:

8. Memphis Grizzlies (33-32)

Final opponents: @ Detroit, @ Toronto, New Orleans, Dallas, Sacramento, Sacramento, @ Golden State

*Beat the Kings in the only matchup this year but still two more matchups in Memphis (May 13, 14).

9. Golden State Warriors (33-33)

Final opponents: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City, Utah, Phoenix, New Orleans, Memphis

*Final 6 games all at home, and own tiebreaker over the Kings.

10. San Antonio Spurs (31-34)

Final opponents: @ Sacramento, @ Portland, Milwaukee, @ Brooklyn, @ New York, Phoenix, Phoenix

*Spurs have lost 5 in a row and have the most difficult schedule remaining in the NBA. Friday’s night’s game with the Kings will decide the season tiebreaker.

11. New Orleans Pelicans (30-36)

Final opponents: @ Philadelphia, @ Charlotte, @ Memphis, @ Dallas, @ Golden State, LA Lakers

*Pelicans own the tiebreaker over the Kings by beating Sacramento 2 out of 3 times.

12. Sacramento Kings (29-37)

Final opponents: San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma City, @ Memphis, @ Memphis, Utah

*Winners of 4 straight. If that streak gets to 7, this would get very interesting.
