Jackson will become the head coach of Sacramento’s G League affiliate Stockton Kings

Sacramento Kings player development coach Bobby Jackson has been hired as the head coach of the team’s G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings per a release that was issued by the team on Thursday.

Jackson has been an assistant coach with the Kings and Timberwolves since his retirement in 2009.

After serving on head coach Luke Walton’s staff for the past two seasons, the Kings will have Jackson run the G League team in Stockton next season–the team’s first action since the 2019-20 season was shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Shortly after the news was announced, the former Sixth Man of the Year Award winner joined Doug Christie and Jay Johnson on the air to discuss his new role with Stockton:
