Matt Olson’s first All-Star experience is going to be a little busy.
Olson will participate in Monday (July 12th) night’s T-Mobile Home Run Derby at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado. The Oakland A’s first baseman announced the news via Twitter on Tuesday in exciting fashion:
Alongside Olson in the T-Mobile Home Run Derby lineup:

Through 81 games, Olson is batting .283 with 20 home runs, 55 RBI and and OPS of .923 over 343 plate appearances.
Monday night’s Home Run Derby is lining up to be one of the more exciting derby’s in recent memory, with Ohtani acting as the main attraction for the festivities. Coors Field is known as a hitters park, meaning that the balls could be flying out of the park even more so than other Home Run Derby’s.
