Carolina Panthers rookie, Donte Jackson, was called out by a waitress in his hometown of New Orleans, for tipping less than five percents of a $120-plus tab over the weekend.

The waitress tweeted Jackson’s receipt and showed a picture of his $5 tip. The former LSU star also drew a smiley face into the “5.00” tip portion of his bill.

Jackson didn’t seem to find a big problem with the small tip. He took the time to respond on Twitter, saying, You got 5 more dollars then you had be grateful.”

For all we know, Jackson could have experienced some bad service from the waitress, or quiet possibly he did not know how much to actually tip (which could be possible because not that many people may really know).

Of course, it is courteous to leave anywhere from 15 to 20 percent tip of the final bill, but was the service worth that much?

We don’t know the situation surrounding the bill, but Jackson could have saved being lashed out by tipping $20-25 dollars.

The rookie cornerback just landed a four-year contract worth a total of $4.812 million, including a $1.58 million signing bonus, per 247 Sports.

To point out, things like this happen every day. People leave a bad tip or don’t tip at all. Waiters, waitresses and bartenders have to admit they’ve seen their fair share of bad tips.

It happens with a lot of people, but it just so happens that a person to do this ended up being a professional cornerback like Jackson.
