This season from the San Francisco Giants has been beyond unreal.

Many have been waiting for them to fall apart and that has just not happened.  In fact the Giants continue to thrive.  The Giants have won a league best 83 games.

What does that mean at this point? Not a lot, except for that being very impressive.

The 83 wins is already the most the team has had since 2016.

When the Giants won the World Series in 2010 they won 92 games. The Giants won the World Series in 2012 with 94 wins.  When they won it in 2014 they won just 88 games.

Since the Giants moved to San Francisco only three of their teams have ever won 100 games.  In 1962 the Giants won 103 games.  In 1993 they won 103 and didn’t even make the playoffs.  In 2003 the Giants won 100 games.

This current team is on pace to eclipse 100 and threaten the San Francisco Giants team record.  I didn’t see that coming, nobody saw that coming.

They continue to lead the league in home runs, near the top of the ERA list and just keep finding ways to win.

I am not sure if they will win the whole thing but I am certainly impressed by what they have done and what they are doing this season.

I love un-expected seasons like this and the Giants fans should too.
