Amick reported on Wednesday that Sacramento will not include De’Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton in any deal for the All-Star

As we approach the final weeks of the NBA offseason, drama is brewing in Philadelphia surrounding disgruntled All-Star guard Ben Simmons.

Simmons has made it clear that he wants out of Philadelphia and teams have been making their pitches to 76ers President of Basketball Operations Daryl Morey, including Morey’s old counterpart Monte McNair and the Sacramento Kings.

Twitter went into a frenzy this week after various rumors linking the Kings to Simmons surfaced, including oddsmakers in Las Vegas giving Sacramento the best odds to acquire the 25-year-old.

Those odds and rumors were given a dose of reality on Wednesday afternoon when Sam Amick of The Athletic released an article stating that Sacramento and Philadelphia have not spoken in weeks after the Kings made it clear that there is no possibility of a deal including either of De’Aaron Fox or Tyrese Haliburton.

If any deal for Simmons is to be completed, it would involve one or both of Buddy Hield, Marvin Bagley and multiple future first-round picks, per the report. Unless the 76ers drop the asking price for Simmons, the team is likely to enter training camp later this month with its current roster.

Amick joined The Carmichael Dave Show with JayMarzz on Thursday to expand on his article and give the latest information on the Simmons-Kings rumors:
