Biderman on the 49ers defensive struggles: “There’s no world where you can play Josh Norman – a guy you signed late in training camp – and Dre Kirkpatrick, a guy you signed after the season started… there’s no way to reconcile that those guys are playing over rookies you invested draft picks in…”  

Biderman on Shanahan and 2022: “You can make the case that had Trey Lance been made the starter, it would have been one of the best situations for a rookie quarterback to be in… and now we’re seeing the reason why that hasn’t worked because I think Kyle Shanahan over-complicated the situation…”
