The 37th season of Kings basketball in Sacramento is about to begin.

Kings Opening Night record (17-19)

• Kings had lost 3 consecutive opening nights until last year’s season opening win in Denver 124-122 in OT.

• The Kings road opening record is (12-24) after winning last year in Denver.

• Here is the list of players that have scored 30 or more points for the Kings in a season opener:

• Reggie Theus 33 points

• DeMarcus Cousins 32 points

• Otis Thorpe 31 points

• Rodney McCray 30 points/DeMarcus Cousins 30 points

Here is the list of players that have scored 30 or more points against the Kings in a season opener:

• Derek Smith 36 points (this is from the first ever NBA game played in Sacramento, still a record)

• Kevin Garnett 34 points

• Dirk Nowitzki 33 points/Blake Griffin 33 points

• Marques Johnson 31 points

• Last year Nikola Jokic did not score 30, but he did have a monster triple double with 29 points, 15 rebounds and 14 assists.
