Not A Fun Friday: Raptors Hand Kings Embarrassing Loss At G1C

Everything is bad for the Sacramento Kings right now.
Thousands of fans entered Golden 1 Center looking for a fun start to their weekend on Friday night.
Instead of fun, the Sacramento Kings handed the fans in attendance 48 minutes of pure horror.
The Toronto Raptors led by as many as 30 points, the Kings put on their worst performance of the season and everything is bad for this team right now following a 108-89 drubbing to open up a four-game home-stand.
Sacramento (6-10) is a season-high four games below the .500 mark with the dangerous Utah Jazz set to come into town tomorrow night.
Harrison Barnes (10 points) and Pascal Siakam (13 points) nearly went shot-for-shot in the first quarter as Barnes went eight-for-eight from the free-throw line to pace the Kings offense early. Siakam and the Raptors ended the period on a 9-0 run to take a 30-27 lead into the second.
Toronto’s run to the end the first quarter carried over into the second as they built a 38-28 lead before Kings head coach Luke Walton had to call timeout to try and stop the bleeding.
Unfortunately for Walton and the Kings, the bleeding would continue as the Raptors straight up bullied Sacramento in the second, outscoring the Kings 33-18 in the period to blow things wide open at 63-45 after 24 minutes of action.
For a Raptors team that was playing the second night of a back-to-back, they sure made the Kings look like a team that had played seven-consecutive days.
Toronto’s lead grew as large as 30 points in what was without a doubt the ugliest display of basketball that this team has portrayed this season. The Kings finished the game an abysmal 38-percent from the field, 24-percent from three-point range and were out-rebounded 53-39 on the glass.
To be blunt, the Sacramento Kings are lost.
They have lost six of their last seven games. Eight of their last 11, really. Something needs to change. By that I mean, a lot of things need to change.
The way things are going right now, those changes could be coming sooner than you think.
Coming Up
The Kings will play the second game of a back-to-back on Saturday night when they face the Utah Jazz at Golden 1 Center.
Utah has defeated Sacramento in both head-to-head matchups this season, the most recent being a 119-113 win in Salt Lake City back on November 2nd.
