Mark Jackson has arrived.
Sacramento Kings general manager is currently meeting with former Golden State Warriors head coach Mark Jackson, sources told Sports 1140 KHTK.
Jackson is known to be among the finalists for Sacramento’s head coaching vacancy, along with former Charlotte Hornets head coach Steve Clifford and current Warriors assistant Mike Brown.
A source shared that Jackson was touring the team’s facilities alongside McNair on Tuesday morning.
It’s expected that Kings owner Vivek Ranadivé will be involved in the second interview alongside McNair and the rest of Sacramento’s front office.
Jackson, 52, last coached during the 2013-14 season with Golden State before being removed from the position following a first-round exit in May of 2014.
Over three seasons with the Warriors, the former NBA All-Star posted a 121-109 (.526) record and led Golden State to the postseason during his final two seasons.
Sacramento’s coaching search appears to be nearing its conclusion as Clifford was seen walking with McNair around DOCO and Golden 1 Center on Monday and Brown, who is currently with Golden State in Memphis for the Western Conference semifinals, will interview later this week once the team returns to San Francisco.
