The ping pong balls have given the Sacramento Kings another gift.

Following the results of Tuesday’s NBA Draft Lottery, the Sacramento Kings will hold the 4th pick in June 23rd’s NBA Draft at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The Kings, who entered Tuesday with the seventh-best odds at grabbing the number-one pick, had a 32% chance of landing in the top-four, a 19.7% chance of remaining at seventh, and a 34.1% chance of falling to eighth.

It was more likely that Sacramento moved from the seventh spot than stay put, but it was unknown which direction exactly.

Now, we know.

For the second time since 2018, the Kings have moved up from the seventh spot and into the top four of the NBA Draft.

This time, let’s hope that current general manager Monte McNair will press the right buttons and bring this franchise the right pieces to create a playoff contender.
