It appears someone is lying or there is some miscommunication between LiAngelo Ball and the Golden State Warriors.

According to HoopsHype writer Alex Kennedy, LiAngelo Ball told him that he had private workouts scheduled within the next few weeks with the Warriors.

Golden State immediately denied Ball’s claims once the news began to catch wind and a Warriors’ spokesman stated that the team have no specific plans to meet with him, per Mercury News.

So… did LiAngelo just make a story up to gain some publicity, or was this just a case of misunderstanding within the two parties?

Other teams LiAngelo claims to have private meetings arranged with are the LA Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers, but no confirmation has been made by either team.

The 19-year-old dropped out of UCLA’s basketball team after his freshman season because of controversy that rose with his earlier case of being caught shoplifting in China during a team trip.

Whether he gets drafted in next month’s NBA draft may not be likely, he still has a high chance of being signed to a G-League team.

It is pretty safe to say, it doesn’t look like he’d be affiliated with the Golden State Warriors anytime soon.
