Sacramento Kings Promote Peja Stojakovic To Assistant General Manager

The Sacramento Kings have announced that Peja Stojakovic will step into the role of Assistant General Manager, reporting to GM and former teammate Vlade Divac.

The Kings stated in a press release that “Stojakovic will support Divac in front office responsibilities, including management of player development, talent evaluation and oversight of the team’s NBA G League affiliate, the Stockton Kings.” The former small forward for the Kings as served as a executive for the team for the last three seasons, most recently as the Vice President of Basketball and Team Development.

Stojakovic spent 13 seasons in the NBA, being drafted by Sacramento in 1996. He retired from the game in 2011 and his No. 16 jersey is hung in the rafters of the Golden 1 Center.
