Golf’s first major of the year is here.  It’s a tradition unlike any other.  The Masters is my personal favorite major and this year it has so much anticipation.  The field is playing well and Tiger is a legitimate threat again.  Golf is good right now, really good.  So how will the 4 day adventure go?  Here are a few things that I think you can expect.  First, look for a former older champion to make some noise in this tournament.  Don’t be surprised if at some point near the top of the leaderboard you see names like Langer, Couples or Olazabal.  They have all won at Augusta and have played well on the course for years.

Secondly, I think the leaderboard is going to be stacked with some big time names.  Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson, Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Jon Rahm, Jordan Speith, and Paul Casey.  With all those names mentioned I have left a few out that I think you need to watch out for.  I think the winner of the Masters is going to come from this group of 5.  Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Rory McIlroy, Jason Day and Tiger Woods.  I will be pulling for Tiger Woods but I just feel like that seems too “storybook”.  McIlroy would complete the grand slam while Fowler and Rose and amazing golfers.  My pick to win this year though is Jason Day.  I think Day slips on the green jacket after an awesome four day event.  I sure hope it lives up to the hype.
