Earlier today, the Oakland A’s announced that Kendall Graveman would be their Opening Day starter for the second consecutive season.

Graveman, 27, battled shoulder injuries last season that limited him to only 105.1 innings. He started the 2017 season red-hot, going 2-2 with a 2.25 ERA and 6 strike outs in his first four starts.

On Monday, Graveman pitched brilliantly in a spring training match up against the Los Angeles Dodgers, giving up only two hits and striking out seven in 5.1 innings.

The Oakland A’s will host the Los Angeles Angels in the Coliseum on Thursday, March 29th.
